Death

I

I was on the brink of something,
to which I cannot hang a name.
This half-sleep calling,
this slipping away from myself.

II

I am already standing at the border of something
which comes to everyone at a different price.
There is a cabin for me on this ship,
and wind in the sails: the terrible moment
of parting with my own country.
